What a great day of bowls with the final of the Zone 10 Open, Reserve & Senior Fours. NBC Sports Club has two teams competing in the Open and Reserve Fours. Unfortunately our Open team was knocked out this morning by the very consistent Merrylands team. Our Reserve team of Stephen Rochester, Robert Holt, James Brown & Ken Brown had a big win over Castle Hill. In between games things took a turn for the worse when Stephen Rochester had a turn and was taken to Westmead hospital ( I will keep the members updated once I find out more information). Fellow NBC Director and team mate Peter Kindleysides was at Merrylands watching and was called upon to take Stephen Rochester’s place. With no uniform available Peter had to borrow Mick Harry’s uniform and a pullover from Sutto. Although the uniform was tight it did the job. Our team lead by Captain Courageous Ken Brown played brilliant bowls to take the title out 18-9 over NRRSL. Well done boys we are very proud of you.
